Alison qualified from Glasgow University Vet School in 1983.  She has worked throughout the UK – in Oban, Aberdeen, Malvern in Worcestershire, and in Inverness.

Alison retired in 2023, after over forty years in Vet practice, returning to work part-time with MCVG at our Balloch branch clinic in February 2024.  She is enjoying being back, doing part-time small animal, G.P consulting work at the Balloch branch.

Outside work Alison is kept busy with her two very active Collies, “Fern” and “Moss”, and with visiting her family in Largs, Ayrshire, and in Peebles, where she now has a lovely little granddaughter, Nora.

Alison lives in Inverness, and she enjoys hillwalking with her husband Craig and her two dogs, and exploring the beautiful Highland countryside.
