Andy qualified from Glasgow University Veterinary School in 1990, and after a short period working in Northern England, moved to the Moray Coast Area in 1992 and has worked in mixed practice in this area ever since.  In 2004, he joined Moray Coast Vet Group to specialise in the treatment of companion animals.  In this time, he has developed a keen interest in all types of surgery, with a particular expertise in orthopaedic surgery.

In 2009 he became a director in the practice, taking on the overall management of the Forres and Lossiemouth branches.

At home he lives with his wife, his two boys having semi-flown the nest.  In his free time, he enjoys cycling, and likes to head to the Scottish hills with his border collie, Jock.
