I’m Julie, one of the Small Animal vets based at the Nairn branch. I qualified in 1995 from Edinburgh vet school, and have worked in various locations in the UK over the years, as well as a short stint in Adelaide, Australia.
‘I joined MCVG in 2009, and live in Nairn with my husband, two daughters, dog and cat. Barney, my boisterous labrador x came from a local rehoming centre and just adores life by the seaside. My cat, Fred, was acquired through work – brought in as a stray tom who’d been hit by a car. No owner came forward for him, and after 7 days with us I’d grown very fond of him…so he came home with me’.
I feel I am a small animal GP, and interested in all aspects of first opinion small animal practice. My continuing education over the years has been broad based, and I try to keep up with developments in all fields, striving to deliver, with the help of the rest of the team at Moray Coast Vets, a high standard of veterinary care to your pets.
Outside of work I enjoy curling and skiing, ride horses when I can and try to keep up with my children and their activities! I am also (and probably always will be) a Gaelic leaner!
